The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society invites foundry leaders, technical personnel, suppliers, and industry partners to participate in the upcoming R3 Webinar and Informational Session.
R3, short for Reject Rate Reduction, is a funded NFFS initiative focused on helping member foundries identify, understand, and reduce recurring casting rejects. The program begins with an initial focus on Nickel Aluminum Bronze and Copper-Nickel castings, while recognizing that many of the lessons learned may support broader non-ferrous casting improvement over time.
This webinar will introduce the purpose of the R3 program, explain how industry members can participate, and outline the type of practical input NFFS is seeking from the foundry community. The session is intended for foundry owners, executives, plant managers, quality leaders, metallurgists, engineers, supervisors, operators, technical sales personnel, suppliers, inspection partners, machine shops, and other stakeholders connected to non-ferrous casting production.
R3 is not an audit, inspection, or fault-finding effort. It is a collaborative technical program designed to better understand where reject issues occur, what causes them, and what types of support would be most useful to foundries working through recurring quality, rework, repair, inspection, or delivery challenges.
Participants will learn how NFFS plans to gather industry input, protect sensitive company information, identify common technical themes, and develop practical resources that can help strengthen the domestic non-ferrous casting supply base.
If your company has experience with Nickel Aluminum Bronze, Copper-Nickel, marine castings, defense-related components, challenging specifications, recurring defects, difficult repairs, or customer-driven reject issues, your perspective matters.
The success of R3 depends on input from the people closest to the work.
