Do I need to open a new MSC account?

Not necessarily. If your company already purchases from MSC, include all known MSC account numbers in the online enrollment form. NFFS and MSC will review the information and determine how the existing account or accounts can be connected to the program.

Can multiple employees from our company use the program?

Yes. Once the company account is enrolled, authorized employees in purchasing, maintenance, production, operations, engineering, safety, and other departments may order through the company’s MSC account.

Is the program only for metalworking products?

No. MSC offers metalworking products as well as personal protective equipment, safety equipment, fasteners, welding supplies, electrical products, tools, material handling equipment, janitorial supplies, maintenance products, and much more.

Do we have to place orders online?

Ordering options may include the MSC website, your company’s established purchasing process, assistance from an MSC representative, or MSC customer care.

Does MSC offer assistance beyond product orders?

Yes. MSC offers metalworking expertise, inventory management, vending, in-plant support, safety assessments, training, managed safety programs, product cross-referencing, and operational improvement solutions.

How long does enrollment take?

After the completed Letter of Participation is received and processed, MSC will use commercially reasonable efforts to enroll the member within ten business days unless MSC provides different instructions.
