Call for Volunteers for NFFS Technical Committee

The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society is forming a new Technical Committee to help guide the future of technical programming, member support, and industry problem-solving across the non-ferrous foundry sector.
This committee is intended to be broad, practical, and member-driven. NFFS is seeking volunteers from across the full non-ferrous space, including aluminum, copper-base, magnesium, zinc, investment casting, sand casting, permanent mold, die casting, centrifugal casting, suppliers, quality professionals, metallurgists, engineers, operators, managers, and technical leaders.
The goal is simple: bring the right people together to identify the technical issues that matter most to member foundries and turn that insight into useful action.
The Technical Committee will help NFFS shape future technical resources, webinars, articles, training programs, research priorities, best-practice guidance, and member support efforts. It will also serve as an important forum for discussing recurring production challenges, quality issues, workforce knowledge gaps, process improvement opportunities, and emerging needs across the industry.
Participation is not intended to be theoretical. The purpose of this committee is to generate meaningful, practical, and actionable value for NFFS members. Committee input will help ensure that NFFS technical programming is grounded in real foundry experience and focused on the problems companies are actually working to solve.
For individual companies, participation offers a chance to help shape technical resources that may directly support their own operations. For the broader industry, it creates a stronger shared voice around the challenges and opportunities facing non-ferrous foundries.
NFFS is especially interested in volunteers who are willing to share practical experience, ask good questions, identify recurring problems, and help guide useful solutions. You do not need to have all the answers. You just need to care about improving the industry and be willing to participate in the conversation.
The non-ferrous foundry industry has deep technical knowledge spread across hundreds of companies, departments, and individuals. The Technical Committee is an opportunity to bring more of that knowledge together and put it to work.
