A Season of Connection, Commitment, and Community
A Holiday Message from the Executive Director of NFFS:

As we approach the Christmas season, it is a natural time to pause, reflect, and take stock of what truly matters. The holidays remind us of the importance of gathering together, supporting one another, and investing in relationships that endure beyond any single moment or challenge. Those same values are at the heart of the Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society.
Christmas is often described as a season of connection—families and friends coming together around a shared table, strengthening bonds that may have been stretched by time and distance. In much the same way, NFFS exists to bring our industry together. Whether through committee service, technical programs, workforce initiatives, advocacy efforts, or our annual Industry Executive Conference, NFFS provides the forum where foundries, suppliers, and partners connect, share knowledge, and collectively advance the non-ferrous metalcasting industry.

The holidays also remind us that meaningful outcomes require intention and participation. Traditions do not happen on their own; they are sustained because people show up, year after year, to contribute their time and effort. The same is true of NFFS. Our strength as an association is directly tied to the engagement of our members—those who volunteer to serve on committees, lend their expertise to technical initiatives, advocate for the industry, or mentor the next generation of foundry professionals. These individual contributions, while sometimes unseen, are what allow the Society to deliver real value to its members and to the broader industry.
Christmas is equally a season of service and generosity. It is a reminder that progress is rarely achieved alone. NFFS’s work—whether supporting workforce development through the Talent Pipeline Program, strengthening domestic supply chains through ICON, or advocating for sound regulatory and trade policy—is built on collaboration and a shared commitment to something larger than any single organization. Our members’ willingness to support these efforts reflects a collective belief in the future of our industry.

As we close out the year, I want to thank each of you for your continued involvement in NFFS. Your membership, engagement, and support make it possible for the Society to fulfill its mission and to position non-ferrous foundries for long-term success.
On behalf of the NFFS Board of Directors and staff, I wish you and your families a joyful Christmas season and a healthy, prosperous New Year. We look forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead.
