If you will be attending the American Foundry Society's 2024 Metalcasting Congress event next week in Milwaukee, make sure to connect with NFFS!

The Integrated Casting Order Network (ICON) is a custom built online program that simplifies the procurement process for cast parts for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), the procurement agency for the Department of Defense. ICON directs business opportunities directly to participating U.S. foundries through an integration of three important elements:

  1. A tooling database that cataloged the location of existing defense-related patterns,
  2. A casting supplier database of those foundries that manufacture parts for the defense industry, and
  3. A solicitation filtering process to quickly identify government procurements for cast components and direct them to capable metal casting facilities.

The NFFS staff are eagerly looking forward to Metalcasting Congress and the opportunity to meet new faces in the foundry industry and share information about the programs and services that the Society offers. If you are not already involved with NFFS and want to learn more about the association specializing in needs of the non-ferrous foundry industry, we want to talk to you!
