NFFS Establishes Technical Services Office

Posted By: Ian Wiese News, NFFS, Technical,

The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society is pleased to announce the establishment of its new Technical Services Office, created to expand technical support, strengthen member engagement, and help address practical challenges facing the non-ferrous foundry industry.

The Technical Services Office will serve as a resource for NFFS members seeking technical guidance, educational content, applied industry research, and practical tools to support foundry operations. Its purpose is to help NFFS better understand the real-world technical needs of its members and develop programs that respond directly to those needs.

Potential areas of focus may include alloy-specific guidance, defect reduction, process improvement, technical training, best-practice development, supplier and customer communication, and support for emerging industry priorities.

Just as importantly, the Technical Services Office will be shaped by direct input from the membership. NFFS wants to hear from foundries, suppliers, technical personnel, owners, operators, and other stakeholders about the types of services and resources that would provide the greatest value.

Members are encouraged to share feedback on topics such as:

  • Technical challenges they are currently facing
  • Training or webinar topics they would find useful
  • Alloy-specific questions or recurring production issues
  • Resources that would help improve quality, efficiency, or customer communication
  • Services they would like to see offered through NFFS
