Lakeview Consulting Manufacturing Grants Webinar

Posted By: Bill Padnos News, Industry, NFFS,

If you’re not checking the NFFS Grant Database at least once a week, you could be leaving thousands of dollars on the table. Every month, new grants become available, and every month, someone else gets the funding your foundry could have used to buy equipment, train employees, or improve efficiency.

Through a new partnership with Lakeview Consulting, NFFS members now have free access to the Lakeview Manufacturing Grant Database, a powerful, searchable resource that tracks funding opportunities across federal, state, and regional levels. These are real dollars available right now to help foundries grow stronger, become more productive, and invest in their future.

The new resource was introduced in a recent NFFS Grant Database Information Webinar, presented by Micki Vandeloo, President of Lakeview Consulting, with discussion led by Bill Padnos, NFFS Director of Workforce Development.

The Changing Grant Landscape

During the webinar, Vandeloo explained that the manufacturing grant landscape is shifting quickly. More than 300 Department of Energy (DOE) grants, worth billions, were recently canceled or delayed due to federal administrative changes, leaving manufacturers to rely more heavily on state-level programs. Fortunately, many states are stepping up with strong grant offerings focused on equipment purchases, workforce training, and energy efficiency projects.

In fact, manufacturers in states like Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Connecticut are seeing meaningful opportunities, such as grants of up to $50,000 for technology upgrades, $5,000 per employee for training, or even multi-million-dollar support for electric vehicle supply chain conversion.

Real Results for NFFS Members

This isn’t just theory, it’s working. NFFS member Calumet Brass Foundry recently secured over $30,000 in funding for equipment purchases, with Lakeview Consulting providing application coaching and support. The foundry’s owner described the experience as “pleasant and minimally invasive,” proving that accessing funding doesn’t have to be complicated.

Why You Should Check the Database Regularly

The Lakeview Manufacturing Grant Database is updated every month with new opportunities. It’s searchable by state, funding type, and eligibility, making it easy to find the programs that fit your foundry’s needs. But timing matters, many grants are first-come, first-served, or have limited application windows.

If you’re not looking regularly, someone else will be. Don’t let another manufacturer grab the funding that could have gone toward your next equipment upgrade or training program.

Exclusive NFFS Member Benefits

Beyond free access to the database, NFFS members can also take advantage of monthly office hours with Lakeview’s experts for personalized guidance and receive discounted consulting services to help prepare strong, competitive applications. Additional roundtables and webinars will be offered to keep members up to date on funding trends and success strategies.
