Celebrating eight decades of
American manufacturing.

Eighty years in business reflects generations of people, years of solving customer challenges and a willingness to keep adapting. In 2026, Batesville Products, Inc. (BPI) celebrates that milestone, marking eight decades of American manufacturing.

As a NFFS member since 2018, Batesville Products is part of the community of manufacturers whose expertise and commitment help move the non-ferrous metalcasting industry forward. Its anniversary offers an opportunity to recognize the company’s history—and the people and capabilities shaping its next chapter.

From Ornamental Works to Full-Service Manufacturing

Founded in 1946 as Batesville Ornamental Works, the company has grown into a full-service custom casting manufacturer specializing in permanent mold aluminum and zinc casting. The Weber family acquired the business in the early 1960s, and family members remain involved today.

BPI now operates across facilities in Lawrenceburg and Aurora, Indiana, with 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 80,000 pounds of aluminum alloy poured each week. Its custom cast components serve more than 70 industries nationwide, including medical, food equipment, automotive, aerospace, energy, marine and industrial equipment.

That growth has been accompanied by an expansion of services. From engineering and design assistance through tooling, casting, CNC machining, polishing, finishing, inspection and assembly, BPI helps customers move from an initial concept to finished production with a single manufacturing partner.

Innovation That Solves Customer Challenges

BPI’s engineering work begins early in the design process, helping customers determine whether permanent mold casting is the right fit for their application.

ENGINEERING IN ACTION

12 pieces. One casting.
40% lower production cost.

BPI converted a component made from 12 welded and machined pieces into a single casting, simplifying production and reducing the customer’s production cost by 40%.

Its permanent mold expertise includes gravity and tilt-pour processes for complex aluminum castings. These capabilities support near-net-shape parts with consistent dimensions, good surface finish and low porosity, giving customers options for reducing machining requirements and improving production efficiency.

For BPI, continued innovation means applying its experience to practical manufacturing challenges while adapting its technology and capabilities to customer needs.

The People Behind Eight Decades

The company’s longevity is also a story about its workforce. BPI employees average 12½ years with the business, and many have built careers there across generations.

That experience matters in an industry where craftsmanship, technical knowledge and problem-solving develop through years of hands-on work. Long-serving employees bring continuity to the manufacturing process and help carry the company’s knowledge forward.

Family involvement and employee tenure are meaningful parts of BPI’s story, connecting its history with the work taking place on the production floor today.

Celebrating the Milestone—and the Next Chapter

80 Years of Craftsmanship.
80 Years of Innovation.
80 Years of People.
80 Years of American Manufacturing.

BPI’s anniversary theme speaks to a company that has continued to evolve while maintaining the craftsmanship and relationships that have supported it for eight decades.

NFFS congratulates Batesville Products and its entire team on 80 years in business. We are pleased to recognize this milestone and celebrate the company’s continued place in our member community and the American manufacturing industry.
