Optional Activities

The following activities are available for guests who wish to supplement their conference experience with one-of-a-kind recreational activities and outings. Activities may incur an additional fee and can be subject to minimum and maximum participation. 

How to Register for Optional Activities
If you still need to register to attend the IEC, all optional activities can be added at the time of registration. To register, go to www.nffs.org/22IECRegistration and choose Attendee Registration. After entering the names of your attendees, check the boxes for the appropriate registration options and for any optional events, and proceed to checkout.

If you are already registered to attend the IEC, go to www.nffs.org/22IECRegistration and select Attendee Registration. First, choose the attendees for whom you wish to add activities. Next, check the boxes for the activities you wish to add. (You will notice that your registration ticket is locked, indicating that is has already been purchased.) Once you have chosen tickets for all attendees, proceed to checkout.


“Founders’ Classic” Golf Tournament

7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The “Founders’ Classic” golf tournament should be familiar to NFFS meeting attendees, it has been included in almost every NFFS meeting since at least 1981. This year’s tournament will be held at the Cape Royal Golf Club located in Cape Coral, Florida. Cape Royal features 27 holes of championship golf spread across a course design that is too good to miss! The unique, Gordon Lewis-designed layout features FIVE sets of tees in order to challenge players of all skill levels. The tournament is an 18-hole stroke play event. Check in begins at 7:30 am, with an 8:30 event start. Registration fees include green fee and cart rental, and range balls. Registration fees also include a hosted beverage cart and sandwiches. Players are strongly encouraged to bring their own clubs, a very limited number of rental clubs are available.

Cost: $150 per person, $25 for club rental


Shelling Adventure on North Captiva Island

"The best fun-filled beach adventure in Paradise!"

Looking for a boat tour with everything rolled into one day? Cruise with NFFS and Adventures in Paradise to a remote barrier island only accessible by boat. Here you will find miles of uninhabited beaches and shelling as well as the clearest waters in all of Southwest Florida. Our Charter Captain and Naturalist are passionate and fun and will narrate along the way, pointing out all kinds of wildlife; dolphins, manatees, birds, sea turtles and much more! You bring your swimsuits, towels, and shelling bag. We will provide a limited number of beach chairs and umbrellas, snorkel masks, snorkels, floats, and bottled water, as well as access to clean restrooms. After some fun and sun on the beach, you will be treated to lunch at Mainstay North Captiva, an authentic waterfront restaurant serving island style cuisine. This busy little island hangout is a great destination that is only accessible by boat or water taxi.

Cost: $150 per person (includes lunch)

NFFSports: Cornhole Tournament

1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

The NFFS 2021 Cornhole Tournament is the perfect way to spend a warm, sunny afternoon in SW Florida! The tournament will be a blind draw, single elimination event following the rules and regulations set forth by the American Cornhole Association. Participants will be assigned a partner randomly to form individual teams, and each team will continue to play against other teams until they lose two games. The last team remaining will be the winners! Whether you are an avid cornhole enthusiast, or have never "tossed bags" in your life, this is the perfect opportunity to have some fun with your industry colleagues while participating in one of America’s fastest growing amateur sports. No entry fee required.
