Running a Foundry Is Hard. Doing It Alone Is Even Harder.
Jerrod Weaver, Executive Director of the Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society (NFFS), will deliver an engaging and candid after-dinner presentation titled “Running a Foundry Is Hard. Doing It Alone Is Even Harder” on April 29. Drawing from his keynote remarks at the 2026 NFFS Industry Executive Conference, Jerrod will share real-world insights from across the industry—highlighting the challenges foundries face today in workforce, cost pressures, and increasing customer demands, while making the case for stronger alignment, collaboration, and shared solutions. Blending practical perspective with a straightforward, relatable style, this session will leave attendees with a clearer understanding of where the industry is headed—and why those who choose to work together will be best positioned to succeed.
The Spring Southwest Michigan AFS Chapter will be held on Wednesday, April 29th, at Trak Houz Bar & Grill in Kalamazoo.
