USI Program Provides Foundry Insurance for NFFS Member Foundries

Over the past year, foundries across the country have been experiencing the same scary and sudden news from their insurance brokers – notice that they are getting out of the foundry business. This news often comes with very little lead time and leaves foundries with limited options to secure favorable rates and the coverage that they need. In the past year, NFFS has seen such prominent national carriers as Travelers, Acuity, CNA and Liberty Mutual drop coverage. NFFS has worked hard over the past year to find a flexible and comprehensive solution for members who have been put in a very difficult situation.    

To address the ongoing challenges of North American foundries, NFFS has partnered with USI, a national insurance brokerage and consulting firm with over 30 years of experience serving the foundry industry, to develop best-in-class proprietary insurance programs for NFFS member foundries. USI foundry clients have seen significant savings on premiums under this program. In addition to cost savings, NFFS members also benefit from increased coverage limits, lower deductibles and improved policy terms and conditions through the NFFS/USI program.
