Clifford Smith, Executive Director of the Texas Cast Metals Association, (pictured left, with his wife Marilyn) has announced his plans to retire at the end of 2023 after serving in his role for over 12 years. NFFS and its Board of Directors would like to congratulate Clifford on a job well done and to wish him the best of luck in his retirement.

In response to the announcement, Stan Bass of Fort Worth Aluminum Foundry (Director for the TCMA as well as a member of the NFFS Board of Directors, pictured right) stated:

"Clifford has done an outstanding job as Executive Director, planning programs, locating venues, managing our money and keeping the organization productive and financially healthy. He was able to attract foundrymen with various knowledge and expertise to serve on the board. Knowing that there are fewer foundries today, he has been able to attract other associated companies to join the TCMA, trying to keep our membership growing. I think Clifford is the easiest person in our foundry industry to work with. His ever-constant smile, his friendly handshake, and the manner in which he conducted himself made him a pleasure to work with. The TCMA and Texas foundrymen owe a great debt to Clifford for a job well done."
