NFFS Announces New Automation Training Video Series

The Non-Ferrous Founders' Society has partnered with Flux Automation Services to provide a series of technical training sessions for front line automation professionals and integrators in the foundry industry.  The 5-session training program will be rolled out in incremental steps over the summer of 2023. 

Each training session is available to NFFS member foundries at NO COST! If your company is not yet a member of NFFS, join today to gain access to this new member resource.

The initial series of training programs are centered around Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), ControlLogix fundamentals, and troubleshooting. The series is planned to include five different training sessions covering the following topics:

Session 1 - Hardware Introduction and Visual Troubleshooting has been released and is now available to NFFS members on the NFFS website at https://www.nffs.org/automation-training. The first session is approximately 26 minutes long and includes the following topics:

  • What is a PLC?
  • Brief History of the PLC
  • ControlLogix Overview
  • Chassis Overview
  • PLC Processor Overview

The remaining sessions will be posted to the NFFS website as they become available.
