NFFS now accepts ACH payments

Posted By: Erin Russell NFFS,

The Non-Ferrous Founders' Society has announced that it now accepts ACH payments, providing members and customers with additional flexibility when paying membership dues, event registration fees, or any other NFFS program, product, or service up to a total amount of $10,000.

NFFS uses the well-known and trusted financial software Quickbooks Online to process ACH payments made through the NFFS website. According to QuickBooks, "An Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment is a method of transferring funds electronically. ACH payments can be used to move money from one account to another at the same bank or between two separate banks."

There are multiple benefits to using ACH when making payments to NFFS:

  • Secure transactions: ACH adheres to the same financial regulations and security that credit card processing does.
  • Cost savings: It is significantly more cost-effective to the organization you are paying when you pay by ACH as opposed to a credit card. The fees associated with an ACH payment are approximately one-third of those charged for credit card payments. Lower expenses to NFFS translate to lower costs for members.
  • Automation: Just like with a credit card, you can save your ACH payment method for easier checkouts by simply checking the box that says "Save bank account for future payments" next time you complete an ACH transaction. (You can also use your ACH payment method for auto-pay of your quarterly or annual membership dues!)

Next time you make a payment to NFFS, consider paying by ACH. If you have any questions or concerns, contact NFFS at (847) 299-0950.
