Alan is also the Senior Economic Advisor to numerous domestic and international trade associations. Alan is co-author of books Make Your Move, Prosperity in the Age of Decline, and But I Want It.

Thornton manages the ATI Logistics Technologies Division, which includes research and development programs in casting, forging, and manufacturing. He is the Program Manager for the American Metalcasting Consortium’s (AMC) Casting Solutions for Readiness (CSR) Program, which leads the development of new metalcasting technologies and processes for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). He has over thirty-three years’ experience leading and working with government and commercial clients in a variety of capacities.
