Medical surveillance programs are required by many different OSHA standards. The purpose of medical surveillance is to detect, identify and eliminate the underlying causes of employee exposures to hazardous materials, and thus has a prevention focus that serves as a feedback loop to the employer. Surveillance may be based on a single case or sentinel event, but more typically uses screening results from the group of employees being evaluated to look for abnormal trends in health status. Surveillance may also be conducted on a single employee over time.

Join NFFS for a review of the OSHA standards that are applicable to YOUR FOUNDRY, and the medical surveillance requirements for each standard. Attendees will receive a handy chart outlining the medical surveillance requirements for each applicable standard. Get your medical surveillance requirements identified, organized and properly managed, and ensure you are complying with your OSHA medical surveillance obligations.
