Many people are exposed to heat on the job. Operations involving high air temperatures, radiant heat sources (e.g., sunlight, hot exhaust), high humidity, direct physical contact with hot objects, or strenuous physical activities have a high potential for causing heat-related illness. Every year, many workers become sick from occupational heat exposure, and some are fatally injured. These illnesses and fatalities are preventable.

Indoor workplaces with hot conditions may include ferrous and non-ferrous foundries. Join NFFS for a brief review of your responsibilities to provide worker protections against heat stress, heat stroke, and other heat related conditions.

NFFS is committed to assisting the industry with providing safe work environments and high quality training programs for the industry’s employees. With over 30 years of experience in providing safety training to non-ferrous foundries, you can rely on NFFS for accurate and helpful information related to occupational safety and health issues in your facility.
