It’s time to review the fundamentals of your Occupational Safety and Health program for your foundry. NFFS will review the basics of OSH programs for foundries, beginning with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Failure to properly implement (and enforce) a Lockout/Tagout program can place your employees at risk from the unplanned release of stored energy in your equipment during servicing and maintenance. NFFS will review the requirements of an effective program, including written LOTO procedures, annual certification requirements, training, required written programs and mandated recordkeeping. In addition, NFFS will provide a written program template that you can use to benchmark your existing programs to ensure all required elements of the OSHA standard are properly addressed. This is a MUST ATTEND for anyone who has equipment in their plant that must be locked out, and this includes YOUR foundry!
