What is in a name? IT MATTERS!

Join NFFS for a conversation about how to properly refer to common foundry process waste, byproducts and coproducts. Do you know the difference? Failure to properly identify your process materials can result in significant fines and penalties from OSHA, EPA and/or the Department of Transportation. For example, the term ‘aluminum dross’ is never to be used with the DOT; instead, these materials must be identified as ‘aluminum remelt by-product’ or ‘aluminum smelting by-product’. Words matter, and we will learn the proper names for your process outputs, and ensure you understand HOW to properly handle these items.
