These benefits are designed specifically to help foundry industry professionals like you improve and grow your businesses. Here are a few highlights of the exciting things going on at NFFS in 2021:
NFFS Shipping – Next week Friday, January 15th, the Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society will launch a new program for NFFS members which provides discounted rates on domestic and international shipping, as well as access to a wide selection of carriers, through a single online platform. This new program is provided through a partnership with logistics provider TForce Worldwide (TFWW). See www.nffs.org/Shipping for additional information about this new program, as well as information on how to register for an introductory webinar with TFWW that will take place on the 15th.
NFFS Academy – Later this month, NFFS will launch the second new member benefit program of 2021, the NFFS Academy. This online e-learning portal provides cutting edge technical training programs for foundry industry employers and their workforce. The NFFS Academy offers low-cost access to more than 120+ technical courses covering multiple manufacturing disciplines, materials and manufacturing processes. In addition to the launch of the NFFS Academy platform, NFFS, THORS eLearning Solutions and The University of Akron (Ohio, USA) have partnered to offer Certificate of Completion programs in multiple manufacturing disciplines. Watch for final details of the NFFS Academy rollout over the coming days.
Integrated Casting Order Network – The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society’s ICON program continues to roll out exciting new features. Later this month, the program will launch a new “Contract Management Center” with the ability for businesses to submit RFQs directly to other companies in support of government contracts or for other internal purposes. The Contract Management Center will also allow participants to create a DIBBS Batch Quote and send it directly to the Defense Logistics Agency. ICON will keep track of the DIBBS Quote submitted though ICON, as well as track all of the awards.
Economic Advisor – Beginning this month, NFFS has made some changes to its publications schedule, including the timing and delivery format of the Society’s Economic Advisor publication. This monthly economic update is written specifically for NFFS members by ITR Economics and contains a variety of leading indicator trend data and relevant economic news to help you as you make your business plans. Instead of publishing an excerpt within the NFFS Notes member newsletter and requiring users to download the full Economic Advisor from the NFFS website, the Advisor will now be delivered to your e-mail inbox on the 4th (or last) Thursday of each month.
Virtual Annual Meeting – If you have not had a chance to fully take advantage of the opportunities available to you as a NFFS member, join us on February 5th for our virtual Annual Meeting.
