Freight Discounts. Since NFFS teamed up with Yellow Transportation more than nine years ago, the number of NFFS Members who utilize this program has grown to over 50%. This program provides all members discounts on inbound and outbound LTL shipments (currently 64%) - saving our members money and increasing their competitiveness.

Parcel Shipping Discounts. NFFS launched a discount program for parcel shipments by partnering with DHL. NFFS members can save up to 25% on their parcel shipments whether it is international, next day, or ground delivery.

Casting Simulation Program. Anyway that a foundry can reduce scrap, improve yield, and minimize lead-times creates efficiency which ultimately reduce costs and improves the bottom line. NFFS developed a program with MAGMA Foundry Technologies that can help foundries in each of these money saving areas through the benefits of using casting process simulation at a reduced cost. Members are entitled to the following:

• A demonstration project will be carried out by MAGMA^® Inc. engineering personnel, using MAGMASOFT^®, on one of there current production castings at no cost.
   
• This will familiarize NFFS members with how the technology is applied, build confidence with the engineering tool and have information that can be used to discuss possible solutions.
   
• Results will be presented in a PowerPoint format in person either at their facility or ours, no exceptions.  Prior, key people at the foundry will be identified for mandatory participation in this meeting.
   
• If additional simulation work would be needed to further improve the current production casting or simulated a new program casting, an engineering service quote would be created.
   
• Each engineering project will be quoted separately with a 25% cost reduction for NFFS members only.

Energy Buyers Program. The Non-Ferrous Founders Society (NFFS) is pleased to introduce a  member benefit that can help you reduce your utility costs, the Energy Buyers Program.  Administered by Affiliated Power Purchasers International (APPI), this program was developed to help association members capitalize on the opportunities created by utility deregulation.  APPI, an independent energy consulting company, was selected by NFFS to provide members with solutions to today’s energy issues including cost reduction.  APPI assists members in navigating the continually changing markets by performing an analysis of current electric or natural gas service, securing price quotes, and reviewing supply contracts and offers.
