Non-Ferrous Founders' Society Committees and Leadership

  • Board of Directors
The general supervision, direction and control of the affairs of the Society shall be vested in the Board of Directors, to be comprised of representatives of member companies in good standing. This Board alone shall determine the Society's policies or changes therein within the limits of the bylaws, shall actively prosecute its purposes and mission, and shall direct the collection and disbursement of its funds.

  • Government Affairs Committee 2011-2012
The Non-Ferrous Founders' Society was formed in 1943 for the expressed purpose of representing the industry's concerns to government agencies. The NFFS Government advocacy program is structured to achieve three specific goals 1) To identify regulations and legislation having the potential to impact non-ferrous foundries prior to their enactment in order to influence their passage or, at the very least, to minimize any adverse impact or effect upon the non-ferrous metalcasting industry. 2) To interpret the effect of enacted or expanded laws and regulations on non-ferrous foundries, and to assist Society members in bringing their processes and practices into compliance; and 3) To establish mechanisms to express the industry's concerns and recommendations on pending legislation and regulations, and to inform legislators and regulatory agencies both of the important role that castings and non-ferrous foundries play in American Industry and in the economy and of the potential economic impact that proposed regulations and legislation could have on the industry.

  • NFFS Executive Committee
The Executive Committee shall be charged with the active management of the Society in the intervals between Board meetings and shall carry the full authority and power to act for the Board whenever it be deemed impractical or inexpedient to convene or to poll the full Board of Directors, except as prohibited by law.

  • NFFS Membership Committee
The purpose of the NFFS Membership Committee is to serve as a resource that assists with the membership objectives identified in the NFFS Long-Range Strategic Plan
