IT’S HERE! The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society training program addressing the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) is now available. Developed specifically for non-ferrous foundries, this suite of training programs will provide all of the employee training materials necessary for your foundry to successfully transition to the new GHS system. Best of all, this program was developed under the 2014 OSHA Susan B. Harwood Grant Program* and is available for FREE to all foundries!


Who should attend? Managers and supervisors responsible for providing occupational safety and health training to foundry employees should attend this train-the-trainer program. Managers responsible for OSHA compliance and written program maintenance should also attend.

GHS Training Program Introduction and Train-The-Trainer Webinar 

A brief webinar that discusses each of the 7 available training modules and a discussion of the available trainer guidance documents that will help you to ensure your worker’s not only receive the OSHA required training, but ensure that they UNDERSTAND the content being presented. Also includes a discussion of GHS regulations, including deadlines for Safety Data Sheet/Labels implementation, employee training and development of  written Hazard Communication programs aligned with GHS. Training Time: Approximately 1 hour

This is a helpful guide to assist trainers in non-ferrous foundries with employee training in the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).  This document is intended to be used in conjunction with the 7 available training modules described below.
